I was very distraught to hear the news that my aunt Nancy had been hit by a car while crossing the street. My father emailed me about this tragedy this morning.
Sad news, a car struck Nancy as she crossed a four-lane street (Governor Printz Blvd) in Willington, DE, around 5:30 PM on Thursday. I am writing this late Thursday night. She was transported via an ambulance and pronounced dead at Christiana Hospital on December 5, 2024.

Two weeks before, my old roommate Timaris Weaver was also killed mysteriously at night while trying to cross the street in Austin. I do not want to connect the dots incorrectly, yet it would appear that these two individuals being killed similarly is an extraordinary coincidence. I lived with my younger brother Alex and Timaris at Alex’s house in Austin for several years. We all had some good times together and Timaris is someone I should have mentioned in my Veteran’s Day post because of his military service.
I hope everyone will keep these two in their prayers. Please hug your loved ones a little closer this Christmas and be thankful they are still with you. I pray I can reconcile this situation somehow before anyone else gets hurt.
